Part of the chain of parks in Lewis and Clark National Historical Park, Fort Clatsop National Memorial preserves the site where the exploration team wintered from December, 1805 until March, 1806. Today, a replica of the fort has been built, featuring live reenactments of certain activities and events during the high-tourism months of summer. Other attractions at the site include an interpretive center with additional information and historical exhibits and short hiking trails. Set just beside the Lewis and Clark River south of Youngs Bay, the park is close to Astoria Regional Airport and the town of Warrenton.
Vistor center open daily mid-Jun - Labor Day: 9:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.; Labor Day - mid-Jun: 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Entry fee (7 day pass): Adults $3; Children 15 and under are free.
